Overview
As described in the section UNSPSC Coding most catalogue formats will require items within the electronic catalogue to have a valid UNSPSC assigned to them. The Supplier Portal contains a searchable dictionary of UNSPSC codes.
Click
to the right of the

The UNSPSC window will be displayed, with UNSPSC codes listed as a Tree view.
Click the
icons to expand the tree to view the codes and their associated descriptions within the dictionary.
A UNSPSC description search facility is also available.

to activate the search.
Enter text into the search field

The UNSPSC codes that have descriptions that match the search text will now be displayed within the lookup window.
If none of the codes displayed are relevant, or the search does not return any results, the search text can be cleared by clicking and entering different text.
If one of the UNSPSC codes listed from the search is relevant, the code or description can be clicked on to select the record.
The selected UNSPSC code and it's description will now be displayed at the top of the lookup window.
Click
to add the UNSPSC code to the catalogue item.
Prior to adding the UNSPSC code to the catalogue item, it is possible to switch back to the Tree view by clicking on the function. This can be useful for identifying where the selected code exists within the UNSPSC dictionary.
